Ride Earth In Armenia::::::::::::::::

Dear All,

Common Ground is pleased to invite you to a meeting this Friday, February 8th, 7pm with Andy Welch and Tom Allen, two young men from the UK who are in Armenia for a short stop over on their attempt to circumnavigate the globe on their mountain bikes. So far they have covered about 7,500 kilometers and 14 countries. In all, they will be traveling across over 50 countries and over 70,000 kilometers. www.ride-earth.com

The expedition will be raising funds and awareness for The Wilderness Foundation, a charity that preserves and promotes the value of the world's last remaining wild areas.
The lads will also be working as ambassadors for Wheels4Life - a non-profit organization that provides bikes for people in Third-World countries in need of transportation to get to work or to school, funded by famous mountain biker Hans Rey.
During the event, we will watch a short video and then hear them speak about the whole adventure: why they embarked on it, how the idea originated, what they hope to gain, how they found sponsors, and hear their impressions on some of the cultures and countries they have visited, in particular, Georgia and Armenia.

They will also bring their bicycle in together with their pack for us to get an idea of their equipment.
