The U.S. Embassy Public Affairs Section is pleased to announce its Alumni
Earth Day Photo Contest. Categories include: Environmental Damage, the
Beauty of Nature, Wildlife, and Environmental Activism.
We’ll feature winning photos from the four categories on the U.S. Embassy’s
website. The grand prize winner will receive a new flip camera.

Photo Contest Rules:
 You may enter one photo in up to four categories:
Environmental Damage
The beauty of nature
Wildlife
Environmental activism
 You can enter photos any time between now and April 19, 2009. We’ll be selecting photos
to feature throughout April and May.
 You must be a citizen of Armenia to enter and an alumnus/a of a U.S government-funded
exchange program. If you are younger than 18, please ask your parent or guardian to enter
your photo. U.S. Embassy personnel and their families are not eligible to enter.
 Photos must be a maximum of one megabyte if submitted by email. Photos submitted by post
may be of any size. All photos must be of Armenia.
 About the photo:
Share where the photo was taken.
Tell us something about the photo to help us understand the context.
The photo must be your own.
Enter color or black and white photos.
Edit your photo however you like (please indicate how they were edited).
Enter photos taken at any time.
Enter photos of other kinds of artwork, as long as you made the artwork, too.
 Photos that are copyrighted, are not original to the submitter, or show someone else's
copyrighted work (for example, a photo of a painting) will be disqualified.

 Photos become property of the U.S. Embassy.
 By submitting photos, you give the U. S. Embassy permission to use them for non-profit governmental purposes, including but not limited to environmental
education and awareness. This permission includes, but is not limited to, publication by the U.S. Embassy in printed materials, television broadcasts, Web sites, or
our intranet. You will not be compensated for such use. However, where reasonable, we will give you credit for the photos. By entering your photos, you agree to
all of the above.
