Dr. Sanasaryan is a leading figure in Armenia's environmental movement. He has a lengthy resume as a chemist. Receiving his PhD in Biochemical Sciences in 1974, he worked at the Biochemistry Institute of the Academy of Sciences of Armenia. Sanasaryan has numerous publications including a critique against the Water code of the Republic of Armenia and many others concerning the restoration of the ecological balance of Lake Sevan.
